Gratitude Part 1

Gratitude is, of course, a natural antidote to unrelenting cynicism. Life is only getting more complicated, and on days like today, I feel incredibly small and alone in the world. Wah. However, the few friends I have are true gifts. To those who are here and notice when I'm feeling deflated and take the time to remind me of connections, I thank you. To those I never get to see--I miss you.

Where do I fit in within this range of friendships, being the ray of "unrelenting cynicism" in your otherwise grateful life? You could always just ask your Pa-Pa for a new pony! That'll cheer you up. ;)

-One of your truly gifted friends who is himself a "true gift."

Where do you fit? I've often suspected that perhaps having me in your life is a bit of intellectual slumming for you, what with my common-sense and remedial MSW :-).

One isolated incident of princess-like behavior and the mocking "Pa-Pa" will haunt me forever!

But I do love you. Have a wonderful trip.
